Day 13 & 14: Return to Belgium through beautiful France

Our 900 km return trip from Royan brings us through magnificent parts of the French central regions with many National Parks on the road.

As usual, we stay on the small D-roads. Not only the nature is beautiful, riding through France is fluent because of the roundabouts that replace red lights. We have done hundreds of kilometres without really having to stop.

Slow down only in villages where France introduced almost systematically 30 km/h speed limit.

Going along the small river "Le Sèvre Niortaise" with beautiful old houses, small barges and fishermen.

After 500 km, last stop before home is a campsite in Anet and its famous chateau in the West of Paris. Municipal campsite near the river just opposite of McDonald's where we have dinner.

On Sunday morning, early start without having breakfast. We enjoy the cool air after a very hot Saturday. Croissants and Pains au chocolat in the next open bakery and we are back on the road for the last 400 km.

At 2 pm, we pull the key of the sidecar after a total distance of 4.000 km. We have successfully accomplished the round trip as planned and without any serious problem.

Another weird sidecar adventure and a fabulous father-son trip. Next on the list is Scandinavia & Finland as soon as Covid let's us in ...
